Za oknami szaleje kryzys, dobrze jest więc wiedzieć kiedy i w jakich okolicznościach internauci zwracają uwagę na reklamę obecną w globalnej sieci. Z badań przeprowadzonych przez firmę Lightspeed Research i Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) wynika, że tzw. e-reklama najskuteczniej przykuwa uwagę w godzinach wieczornych.
Badania opublikowane w serwisie marketingcharts.com pokazują, że wczesny wieczór to najlepsza pora na dotarcie do wszystkich grup wiekowych. Młode osoby wykazują zwiększone zainteresowanie reklamą online wraz z upływem dnia, natomiast starsi koncentrują uwagę na takim przekazie najczęściej w godzinach popołudniowych (godz. 14 -18) oraz wieczornych (godz. 21-24).
Nie trzeba być omnibusem marketingu, by zdawać sobie sprawę z wartości tego typu informacji dla ludzi planujących kampanie promocyjne. Dokładne targetowanie przekazu reklamowego ma szczególne znaczenie w dobie globalnej recesji, kiedy klient liczy się z każdą złotówką (ewentualnie inną, odpowiednią dla niego walutą), oczekując jej maksymalnie efektywnego wykorzystania. Fakt ten podkreślił również David Day, dyrektor zarządzający Lightspeed Research, który stwierdził, że mnogość wykonywanych przez uczestników sieciowej społeczności czynności, wymusza umieszczenie naszego przekazu w dokładnie wyselekcjonowanym czasie. A wybór jaki zostanie wówczas dokonany, np. przez mediaplannera, może stanowić granicę między sukcesem a porażką kampanii.
Osoby biorące udział w badaniu IAB zostały również zapytane o sytuacje, podczas których – ich zdaniem – są najbardziej podatne na internetowe przekazy reklamowe. Jak się okazało, najczęściej wymienianą przez respondentów okolicznością były czynności związane z działaniem na polu tzw. e-commerce, np. porównywanie cen lub wyszukiwanie informacji o interesujących produktach. Dla kontrastu, e-reklama trafia na najmniej podatny grunt w momencie angażowania się w czynności absorbujące pełną uwagę, jak klipy filmowe czy telewizjia online. Większość użytkowników nie lubi w takich chwilach być niepokojonymi dodatkowymi przekazami reklamowymi.
Warto również zwrócić uwagę na zachowania konsumenckie podczas zakupów online. W tym przypadku najlepszą grupę docelową stanowią osoby w wieku od 25 do 34 lat, z których blisko połowa podczas odwiedzania internetowych sklepów, zwraca uwagę na treści promocyjne pojawiające się na ekranie. Co piąty respondent przyznał również, że interesują go wyświetlane wówczas kreacje reklamowe.
Oprócz działań związanych z sektorem tzw. e-commerce, badani internauci stwierdzili, że zwracają także uwagę na przekazy reklamowe pojawiające się podczas korzystania z wyszukiwarek, ściągania plików, czytania wiadomości, sprawdzania interesujących ich wyników sportowych czy odwiedzania stron z grami online. Dodatkowo, Internet Advertising Bureau zaznaczył wysoki poziom podatności odbiorców na reklamę prezentowaną na stronach serwisów społecznościowych.
Z zaprezentowanych na łamach serwisu Marketing Charts danych wypływa prosty wniosek. Pomysł na internetową kampanię plus efektowna kreacja to tylko dwa elementy, które nie warunkują sukcesu. Muszą one jeszcze zostać złożone na barkach dobrego mediaplannera, który dodźwiga ten przekaz do naszego targetu.
