Jeden z serwisów internetowych uratował życie swojego użytkownika, który napisał, że chce popełnić samobójstwo. Czyn godny pochwały. Uruchomienie PR-owej tuby propagandowej przy okazji już niekoniecznie.
Internet jest miejscem gdzie wiele osób dzieli się swoimi doświadczeniami, przemyśleniami czy wreszcie problemami. Często bardzo poważnymi. Zdarzają się również sytuacje, kiedy internauta obwieszcza, iż niedługo zamierza skończyć ze sobą. Społeczność sieciowa nieraz już pokazała, że potrafi wykazać się odpowiedzialnością w takich sytuacjach, ratując niejedno życie.
Podobna sytuacja miała miejsce kilka dni temu w serwisie podobnie.pl. Jeden z jego użytkowników napisał, że ma dosyć życia i chce popełnić samobójstwo. Nie odpowiadał również na komentarze i na wysyłane do niego wiadomości. Dzięki reakcji pracowników podobnie.pl, którzy zawiadomili policję, udało się uratować niedoszłego samobójcę. Skąd to wszystko wiem? Dzięki informacji prasowej, którą przygotował serwis. I w tym miejscu zaczynają się moje wątpliwości…
Bez dwóch zdań słowa uznania należą się zarówno pracownikom podobnie.pl, jak i samej policji. Jednak czy konieczne było uruchamianie PR-owej tuby, która opisała całe zdarzenie w tonie heroicznych zmagań? Informacja rozesłana została do mediów, umieszczona w PR-owych serwisach i… teraz mam poczucie, że tragedia Marcina została zaprzęgnięta do bezdusznej marketingowej maszyny. Uznanie dla niewątpliwie słusznego zachowania serwisu podobnie.pl pryska niczym bańka mydlana. Pozostaje tylko niesmak.
PR to budowanie relacji z mediami, podkreślanie pozytywnych cech firmy, którą się reprezentuje. Wszystko to musi być wykonane subtelnie i finezyjne. Wykorzystanie takiego zdarzenia do działań promocyjnych nasuwa mi skojarzenie z poprzednią epoką. I może jeszcze z niektórymi politykami…
